Sock Drive 2010

My name is Tanner Eaves and I'm 14 years old and live in Lake Mary, FL (and with the help of my little brother, Dylan) we hold a sock drive each year.

3200 pairs of new socks were generously donated to the cause by individuals just like you! By the way, if you donated socks last year, thank you!

The socks were distributed to children in our local shelters and foster care. Some of the recipients included:
Coalition for the Homeless Children's Home Society
Kids House of Seminole Orlando Rescue Mission
Florida United Methodist Children's Home Orlando Union Rescue Mission
Families in Transition Devereux Florida
Rescue Outreach Mission of Central Florida

Why socks?
Socks are essential especially in the winter months. They also are one of the least donated but most needed necesity. Also, socks are affordable making it easy for everyone to help our kids in our local communities.

You can help make this year's sock drive even more successful than last year.
We have set a goal to raise over 3500 pairs of new unused socks! 300 more than last year!

This year's drop off locations will be determined by no later than October 15th and the website will be updated to announce these locations.

Sock Drive 2012
is from Nov. 1– Dec. 20

We are accepting socks for boys and girls with sizes ranging from newborn to young adults. Please help us reach our goal of 3500 pairs!
